| Rathaus is a building with an impressive characteristic spire. Construction of Rathaus began in the mid-19th century, and in 1885 the function of Rathaus was transferred. There are many sculptures around Rathaus, each with a statue of a person who contributed to Vienna. There is a large square in front of the building, which is famous for holding summer film festivals and winter skating rinks.  |
