An old corner bookstore with an impressive Boston-like appearance. The Old Corner Bookstore was first built in 1722 as the residence of pharmacist Thomas Crease, and was later used as the office of American publisher Ticknor and Fields. At that time, many American literary artists gathered and used it like a salon, so it was named Old Corner Bookstore. It is no longer a publisher and is now a completely separate store. |
