| The statue at the center of Waikiki Beach is Duke Paoa Kahanamoku Statue. Duke Kahanamoku is a famous surfer from Waikiki and is known as a legendary surfer for his success in the Olympics. The statue was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Duke Kahanamoku's birth and is also a tourist photo spot.  |
