Located on the other side of the Sri Mariaman temple, the Jamaie Mosque. Jamaie Mosque was one of the oldest mosques in Singapore built in 1826 by Tamil Muslims from the Coromandel Gulf region of South India. Although there is no onion roof common to Islamic mosques, gates and windows are onion type and you can feel the insulative culture. |
