| Otsuki Station, located in Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a connecting
station between the JR Chuo Main Line and the Fujikyuko Line (towards Mt.
Fuji Station), and plays an important role as a gateway to sightseeing
at the Fuji Five Lakes and Mt. Fuji. It's easily accessible, about an hour
and a half by express train from Shinjuku, and is used by many travelers
during the tourist season. The area around the station has a calm, regional
city atmosphere, with convenience stores and restaurants, and its natural
surroundings, surrounded by mountains and rivers, make it a popular base
