Climate overview
Bulgaria's climate is largely divided into two parts: the northern part has a continental climate, and the southern part has a Mediterranean climate, bordering the Balkan Mountains extending east and west of the country. Therefore, in the northern part, there is a large difference in temperature between the years, and the winter is severe, but the summer becomes hot. The southern region has a mild climate year round.
