Nagoya Castle is one of Japan's 100 most famous castles. Nagoya Castle was originally called Nagoya Castle and is known as the castle where Nobunaga Oda was born. However, because Nobunaga moved his castle to Kiyosu Castle, it was once abandoned, but was revived as the residence of the three Tokugawa families in the Edo period. It was rebuilt in 2005 and is still in use today. When you think of Nagoya Castle, you think of the gold shachihoko in the castle tower, but it's a big one that uses about 88kg of pure gold, and it's a well-known spot nationwide as a symbol of Nagoya. |
