| Xiangshan is where you can enjoy some of the best views in Taipei. The road to Xiangshan is the Xiangshan hiking trail. The Xiangshan hiking trail starts at Xiangshan MRT station and continues through the park onto a regular asphalt road. At first, you will walk around looking at the surrounding high-rise apartment buildings and trees in the park, and after a while you will reach the entrance to Xiangshan and start climbing the mountain. However, most of the climbs have well-maintained stairs, and you can climb them wearing regular clothes and sports shoes. Although the overall distance of the Elephant Mountain hiking course is quite long, you generally do not go all the way to the end, but instead turn around near a rock halfway up the mountain. This is because Taipei 101 and the city area can be seen most beautifully from here. There are also rest areas along the way, so you can enjoy Taipei 101 from a different perspective. |
