| The largest ice field in the Northern Hemisphere after the Arctic is the Columbia Icefield. The Columbia Icefield is tremendously large, and the Athabasca Glacier visible in the photo is only part of it. The Athabasca Glacier is popular because tourists can actually walk the glacier and is positioned as a highlight of the Canadian Rockies. |
