The main road crossing the center of Berlin from east to west is on June 17th. June 17th Street is a straight road connecting Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten to Ernst-Reutersplatz. It was also used as a runway at the end of World War II. Originally known as Charlottenburger Strasse, June 17th Street was named in protest of the Soviet military's use of force on June 17, 1953. There are also tourist spots along the street, so it is a good place to enjoy a walk. |
