Sightseeing Guide
Red Town Hall is in a good location on the street that continues from Alexanderplatz.
Red Town Hall is a building built in 1869, and as its name suggests, it is said to be Red Town Hall because its outer wall uses red brick and granite and looks red. The Red Town Hall, which was used as the Berlin City Hall in East Germany during the East-West division, is still used as the Berlin City Hall after the unification. The bell in the characteristic central bell tower rings at noon every day.
