Shimajiri Mangrove Park is one of the largest mangrove forests on Miyakojima. Shimajiri Mangrove Park is a facility where you can take a walk and see the mangrove, a special plant that lives in places where freshwater and seawater coexist. There is a wooden promenade in the park that you can walk around, but we recommend low tide. Since it is directly connected to the sea, low tide and high tide will inevitably occur, so I think it is better to visit at low tide when the inflow of seawater is relatively small and go to the time when you can see the entire mangrove. Also, the promenade is not so long and it is not a circuit route, so you can turn back on the way. Even people who are not confident in their physical strength will have no problem. |
