The Hikone City Opening Memorial Hall is located at the entrance to Hikone Castle. The Hikone National Opening Memorial Hall was built in 1960 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Naosuke Ii. The building is a recreation of Hikone Castle's Sawaguchi Tamon Yagura, and the scenery with its beautiful exterior is one of the scenic spots.
