Museum Quarter Vienna is a large complex museum that can be seen in front of Maria Theresia Square between the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Natural History Museum. The Museum Quarter Vienna, once a stable in the royal palace, has a Baroque exterior leading to a courtyard, which houses several modern museums, galleries and event halls. The most famous are the Museum of Modern Art and the Leopold Museum. The Museum of Modern Art, commonly known as MUMOK, exhibits works by Oskar Schlemmer and Kandinsky, as well as works by Henry Moore and Mondrian. At the Leopold Museum, works by Egon Schiele's collection, as well as works by Vienna's leading painters Klimt and Kokoschka are on display. In addition to the museums mentioned above, there is a special exhibition hall called Kunsthalle Vienna, where exhibitions of innovative works are held as special exhibitions. The Vienna Architectural Center has a wealth of information on Austrian architecture. After viewing the museum, there is a shop called MQ Point, where designer works such as bags, clothing, and tableware are sold as souvenirs. There are also cafes and restaurants where you can take a break. |
