From the end of the Edo period to the Meiji era, the Kazama family's store and residence, which developed as a merchant of the Shonai domain and became a wealthy merchant, is Kyukazama Jyutaku HEISHIN DOU.
Kyukazama Jyutaku HEISHINDOU is a house built in 1896, where the samurai residence used to be. The building is also designated as a national important cultural property. Kyukazama Jyutaku HEISHINDOU, which is often used for filming, features a large garden and a roof with about 40,000 stones. The tilted entrance is also one of the highlights.
