| Landmark Tower Yokohama which is 295.8 m in height, and the highest skyscraper
in Japan with three stories beneath ground level and 70 stories above ground.
(As of 2009) Landmark Tower Yokohama is an existence which will be opened
in 1993 and can be said also as the symbol of the Yokohama Minato Mirai
area. The observatory called sky garden is also located in Landmark Tower Yokohama, and it can look at the Yokohama city area, Yamashita Park, and Yokohama Bay Bridge from the No.1 skyscraper of Japan. It was proud of the No.1 speed of the world until the elevator reached to an observatory was also famous and was extracted by Taipei 101 in Taiwan in 2004. Traffic access is fixed very much and it is also connected to the underground of the adjoining Queens square from JR Sakuragicho Station in Minato Mirai Station of the Yokohama rapid transit railway in the moving platform. Besides many companies, the hotel also lives in Landmark Tower Yokohama. Yokohama Royal Park Hotel moving in and looking at the night view of Yokohama on an upper-layers story, a hotel is popular because stay is possible. There is "landmark plaza" of a shopping center in low floor, and various institutions, such as a fashion, interior design and a restaurant, and a bank, are contained. Moreover, an event is also performed periodically and is overflowing with many shoppers and tourists. There is dockyard garden as a historical institution. In the construction place of Landmark Tower Yokohama, dockyard garden had the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Yokohama shipyard from the first. It was built for the purpose of the preservation at the time of commencement of business. It is designated also as the important cultural property of the country.
