| The Sultanahmet Mosque, also known as the "Blue Mosque," is a representative tourist attraction in Istanbul. The Blue Mosque is a large mosque built in 1616 during the Ottoman Empire, characterized by its six minarets and large dome-shaped roof. It is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in the world, attracting tourists from all over the globe, and was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. While it is possible to enter the mosque, it is so popular that there is always a queue of tourists. Inside, you can see a spacious prayer area. On the opposite side of the Blue Mosque is another large mosque called Hagia Sophia, allowing you to enjoy both at the same time. Viewing the Blue Mosque from the Hagia Sophia side allows you to photograph it with fountains and lawns in the background, offering a different perspective of the mosque. |
